Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Quick Fixes for RnkRocket Users

Last updated 11 March 2026

Common Issues & Fixes

Below are the most common problems users run into and the quickest ways to fix them. If none of these resolve your issue, see Contact Support.

Google Search Console Connection Problems

Symptoms: Google Search Console data is missing, the connection shows as disconnected, or keyword data is empty.

What to try:

  1. Re-authenticate — Go to Account Settings → Integrations and disconnect GSC, then reconnect it by clicking Connect Google Search Console and following the prompts. For a full walkthrough of the GSC connection process, see Connecting Google Search Console. This refreshes your access token.

  2. Check property access — Make sure the Google account you are connecting with actually has access to the correct Search Console property. You need to be a verified owner or full user, not a restricted user.

  3. Wait for data to arrive — If you have just connected a new property, Google Search Console can take 24-48 hours to populate with data. This is a Google-side delay, not an RnkRocket issue.

  4. Check the correct property type — GSC has two property types: domain properties (example.com) and URL-prefix properties (https://www.example.com). Make sure you are connecting the right one for your site.

Stale Data or Numbers Not Updating

Symptoms: The dashboard shows old numbers even after running a new analysis, or changes you made to your site are not reflected.

What to try:

  1. Hard refresh the page — Press Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows/Linux or Cmd + Shift + R on Mac. This clears your browser's local cache and forces a fresh load from the server.

  2. Check whether an analysis is still running — Look for a spinner or "In progress" badge on the relevant section. Most analyses complete within 5 minutes, but complex sites may take longer. Wait for it to complete before checking results.

  3. Check the last analysis date — Each analysis result shows when it was last run. If it was recent, the data shown is up to date.

Analysis Appears Stuck or Has Not Completed

Symptoms: An analysis has been "running" for more than 15 minutes with no progress.

Most analyses complete within 5 minutes. If yours has been running for longer:

  1. Refresh the page and check whether the status has updated.
  2. Check that your site is publicly accessible — analyses will stall on sites that return errors or require a login.
  3. Very large sites (thousands of pages) take longer to crawl. Allow up to 15-20 minutes for the first full analysis.
  4. If it has been more than 20 minutes with no result, contact support with your project URL and we will investigate.

"No Data Available" on the Keywords Page

Symptoms: The Keywords page shows a blank state or "No data available".

This usually means one of two things:

  • GSC is not connected — RnkRocket pulls keyword ranking data from Google Search Console. Go to Account Settings and connect your GSC property.
  • Your first crawl has not completed — After connecting GSC, the initial data sync takes a few minutes. Wait 5-10 minutes and refresh.

SEO Score Seems Incorrect

Your SEO score is calculated based on the most recent analysis for your site. If the score looks outdated or unexpected:

  1. Check when the last analysis was run (shown on the Overview page).
  2. Run a new analysis if it has been more than a few days.
  3. Keep in mind that SEO scores are a snapshot — they reflect what was found at the time of the last crawl.

Dashboard Loading Slowly

Symptoms: Pages take a long time to load or appear blank for several seconds.

  1. Try a different browser (Chrome or Firefox are recommended).
  2. Clear your browser cache and cookies for app.rnkrocket.com.
  3. Check your internet connection — large datasets (keyword lists, analysis results) require a stable connection.
  4. If the problem persists across browsers and connections, it may be a temporary server issue. Check back in a few minutes.

Login or Account Access Issues

  • If you have forgotten your password, use the Forgot Password link on the login page.
  • If your account appears to have no data after logging in, make sure you are logging in with the correct email address.
  • If you cannot access your account at all, contact support at hello@rnkrocket.com.
